Korean Hand & Foot Acupressure Massage
Korean Hand & Foot Acupressure Massage
The theory of Korean Hand & Foot Acupressure Massage is that specific areas and points on each of your hands and feet correspond to specific areas and organs of your body. This treatment massages every joint in the hands and feet - and every joint in the hand and foot represents a joint in the body. The therapy is an especially good treatment for muscular-skeletal problems. This treatment is also holistic and balance the energies within the body and supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Korean Hand and Foot Acupressure Massage is wonderfully relaxing and truly holistic treatment. This massage is not just another form of an ordinary hand or foot massage and is completely different to Reflexology.
Korean Hand and Foot Acupressure massage is a non-invasive traditional approach for the treatment and prevention of ailments. It is a micro-acupressure and reflex system located on both hands - you could think of the hands as being a micro-universe of the whole body. The hands have an entire, but smaller system of meridians that correspond to the body’s meridian system. It is a very simple and extremely effective method of treatment for both internal and external conditions.
The Treatment
Clients can remain fully clothed during this treatment and will only need to remove their socks and partially roll their trousers up. The treatment is performed on a therapy couch and can be altered so that clients can lay flat on the couch or at a slight incline.
Traditionally a plain carrier oil is used to massage however, if the therapist is a trained aromatherapist they may blend an oil specifically for you for the treatment.

Treatment Aftercare
- Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins; massage aids the removal of toxins from the body
- Coffee, tea and cola should be avoided as they contain caffeine. Aim to drink two glasses of water after each drink of tea or coffee if not. Or try to drink herbal infusions in place of tea or coffee
- Avoid any headache tablets as these too contain caffeine
- Avoid eating a heavy meal. Eat a light and natural diet, as refined and processed foods add to the toxicity levels within the body and hinder the natural healing process
